First Official Logo-A-Week Logo!

Presenting my first Logo-A-Week logo for Christine Krchma, pastry chef…logoweek1

Now, just because this is the official logo for week 1, doesn’t necessarily mean that it was Christine’s pick. But it is my pick for week one.

So now that this blog is officially rolling, check back on Monday – I have a fun fake company to design for. Have a great weekend!

The Process

For this assignment, I chose a color palette and ran with it. The colors I chose remind me of icing on fancy pastries. I came up with a few ideas. Check them out.

But stay tuned for the final logo to come on Friday!

Hello and welcome to Logo-A-Week, the blog where I create one logo each week! I had this idea a few months ago, and I am excited to finally get it going! At the beginning of each week, I will assign myself a new client (sometimes fake, sometimes real) and by the end of the week, I will reveal the logo. Along the way, I will share my thoughts on graphic design, the process of designing logos, and whatever else I feel like!

My First Assignment:
To get things going, I am going to cheat a little bit and start this first week with a logo that I have actually already started working on for my friend Christine, who is a pastry chef. She is graduating from culinary school and in the process of finding a job in addition to baking yummy (really yummy) treats for events on a freelance basis. The name of the tentative company is just her full name, Christine Krchma, so the logo will be based on her name. Stay tuned!
